well .. that's not entirely true .. i know that some wireless cards are smart enough to do that .. i just thought somebody knows more than me. I'll do some research and if i'll find something i'll let you all know .. who knows maybe it will help others

if you can get an ip address on your iphone and can ping it using your comp you are in

P.S.: I know this tutorial worked for a lot of people already and I agree that most questions here are unneccesary because they have been answered already.
However, looks like it's not always as easy for everybody as for others, which has also been proven by the need of different touchfree versions. So some people should maybe clam down a bit when others run into problems following this guide.

had the same problem...tried it a couple of times and eventually got it to work..
try restarting your comp., and kill all unneeded processes in the task bar.
eventually it will work

edit: have you killed all of itunes processes??

We are getting far from the origin of this thread. Asking how to connect an Iphone to internet without a wifi router and just using wifi cards.. should be asked in a new thread.....
That is my opinion.

Don't you have any friends with a wireless router were you could try this guide? That would be easier than buying a wificard...
