Hi,
i have unlocked my bricked phone. It was updated with 1.1.1 and did not work again. Today i have downgraded to 1.0.2 and after that i unlocked it with iphonesimfree 1.6. Works fine. No problem at all. BUT: After about one hour i had the NO Service Problem. I just called my Provider. It is Vodaphone in Germany. The Fact is: the IMEI is put on the black list. You can do what you want. It will not help. It comes when you unlock your phone twice. Then your IMEI will automaticaly put on the black list. Just call your provider and tell them you lost your phone. (They do not ask you what phone it is) Tell them you had stooped your IMEI because you thinked it was stolen. And now you found it again. Tell them to give free your IMEI. After about one hour my iPhone works perfectly again. I some cases it could be 1 or 2 days for freeing your IMEI. It depends on the provider. At Vodafone 1 hour and all is good! WORKS VERY FINE! I hope i can help you with this information. |

When you lost your phone or when you think it is stolen, you can call your provider and tell them to lock your IMEI!
This is no NONSENSE! And this is the problem. Do you think i have nothing else to do as writing bullshit here? |

But ok. If noone trust, go and try to overwrite your baseband again and again, or try start and stop comcenter....
AND AGAIN FOR OTHER MEMBERS WITH THIS PROBLEM: Do it. You have nothing to loose. IT WILL WORK! 100% The NO SERVICE Problem is caused by double activate your IMEI and now it is locked!!! Last edited by Palestro; 10-11-2007 at 11:48 PM. |

I am having the same "No Service" problem after using IPSF on stock 1.1.1 downgraded to 1.0.2
I have no clue at the moment. It did work on my other phones with tmobile. Only couple of phones have this problem. Any ideas?

No... Shureley not.
If you have the NO SERVICE Prob your phone will not more work with no provider. you can put in every card, you have no chance... OK AGAIN. NO SERVICE depends on a locked IMEI! The IMEI is a register number from your phone. It has nothing to do with your sim card or provider. In cases when you unlocked your phone twice with a software unlock software like IPSF your IMEI is locked and you have NO SERVICE! Just call your carrier and tell them to unlock your IMEI! Thats it.... |

what is the rational for your double lock theory it makes no sense sorry unless you did something to get blocked, but you don't explain what reason the telcos would have to block your IMEI . Im very doubtful it is because you unlocked twice.

doesn´t make sence why the provider is blocking, but i have come across a couple of phones using vodafone (germany) that somehow got the NO SERICE without doing anything else to the phone, so it would make sence if it had something to do with the provider and since the phone wont work with any other sim it would also make sence with the blocked imei.
i´m gonna try and see if calling vodafone is going to fix the problem, nothing to loose as palestro already said |
