Default TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223F Not working

Hey everyone, new to the forum, and i hope some of you can help out this problem that just occurred.

I have a hackintosh that is running fine, no problems there. But I just unplugged my SH-223F and put it into my roomates PC, tried to run it, it wouldn't spin up. Now i reinstalled it into my mac, and it does the same thing, it won't spin up, it just makes a couple noises and stops. This happens every time i put in a dvd/cd.

Any advice for me? did i just brick this dvd drive? btw, driver version is:SB03

Thanks,

Jonny

Welp, for anyone that reads this in the future:

I bricked the drive. It is now dead. lol. But i did find out what caused it. When i went to switch it to my friends computer, we connected it to the wrong SATA power cable when the computer was off. So not thinking, I unplugged it and plugged the correct one in. This is what killed it, a small jump in current.

May sound retarded to some of you expert computer guys, but there are us newbie people that need guidance. So we don't do dumb shit like this again, word
