Ok so I've got my eye on the Intel Q9650 processor, which looks to be a solid processor. Not going to the i7 yet, so will stick with the quad core. I am looking for a really good motherboard to go with this processor. I've looked at a couple of Gigabyte's and an ASUS as well.
What I am looking to do is a little gaming, video, and a little graphics. Need a solid board to handle all this and of course some other parts. I plan on installing the new Snow Leopard as well. Will need to run wireless as I do not have Ethernet up in the office and the network is downstairs, so I will just use a compatible wireless card to get access to the network. My question is, to the pro's who have done this, what is a solid board I can use for my Q9650, as well 4-6 gigs of memory? Looking for the best combination to get my system started. Thanks for any recommendations! Now I am off to read a little more..... |

Thanks for the quick reply. Would like to shoot for a Gigabyte board, as those seem to be the most successful when using OSX. Also any shot I can use the retail Snow Leopard install with a certain board?? Many thanks!!
