Anyone ever heard of Quo Computer? They build osx machines and I was wondering if anyone on here has ever gotten one. And whats the legality of said purchase?

Yes, and I was wondering the same thing. I was thinking about visiting the store since I live about an hour away, but once I started researching what it would cost to build my own system, Quo started to look a little too expensive. If you don't want to research compatible components and go through the headache of building your own, it might be worth the extra money.

Concerning legality... as far as I know, all they do is sell you the system, and sell you the boxed retail copy of OS X and whatever else you want. You can install it, or they will provide install assistance. I believe their systems can install the retail disk without modification to OS X. Also, the End User License Agreement for OS X applies to the END USER, which in most cases, is not the place selling you the computer. YOU, the buyer, are the end user, so if you decide to install OS X on your PC, I wouldn't think Quo would be in any kind of legal trouble, although a lawyer would probably love to argue otherwise, I'm sure.

I know that I can Build my own machine but I don't want to deal with the pain of constantly trying to find drivers for updates "apparently they'll find them and update your pc for you. Here is their top of the line machine.

Quad Core 3.8 Ghz
Intel™ Virtualization Technology
1 Hard Drive 640 gb 7200 rpm
Firewire - 400 3 ports IEEE 1394a
Firewire - 800 2 ports IEEE 1394b
USB Ports - 8 ports 2.0
4 gb Memory - upto 16gb
10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet
24 x DVD/CD Drive
6 port Audio

Graphics
Nvidia GTS 250 1gig - Supports 2 30" monitors without adapters

Expansion
1 - PCI Express x16
3 - PCI Express x1
2 - PCI Slots
2 - DVD/CD drives
4 - Hard Drive Bays

Would this be good for gaming? I want a monster gaming pc mac unit. And i can't find that hardware list in the sticky, nor can i find an easier way to dual boot except with EFI-X dongle. If there is a better way for someone like me to build and update my system with the retail dvd "I have NO experience building my own" Then someone please post a link.

You mean something like this, with dual boot, triple boot support, theme support. You can install Retail with Apple updates without problem, theres a guide in the installation forum by munky

Thats great. But I want a sure fire Mac Pro or better PC to run games and OSX. Is there a complete guide and hardware list to do this. I'm sorry but i've never in my life built a PC and I'm worried about screwing this up. I would like Blueray burner, firewire, bluetooth and wireless network card but i'm afraid that those won't be compatible.

You can run everything you want if your specs are compatible, check in the HCL for it, start reading man. I cant help you with games stuff, i mean they should run fine but i really have no experience with any. Hope some user can help you good luck.

Blueray burner, firewire, bluetooth and wireless network car <-- everything works but you need to know what to buy, once again check the HCL for the most compatible components, compare prices and go for it

I'm not trying to being mean or anything but if you dont know whats your doing, if doing like to read, you better go with a mac pro. But you can always do your homework and post here what do you want, so we can help you, "yeh, you can go with that video card" or "no, that wireless chipset doesnt work"
