Asus P5NSLI Series
Hi there,
I got Kalyway on my system and the Asus P5NSLI Mainboard. The O.s. works, but there is no sound, eternet/internet and no USB mounting. Is there a driver I can install for the Mainboard, might I' ve done something wrong with the install or is the distro not the right one for me? Hey - I haven't even got as far as you yet! I'm just planning my build at the moment.
You wouldn't happen to know what chipsets you're running though would you? If not they should be listed in your motherboard manual. When you get the names it may be worth heading over to Kexts.com and running a search there! I looked for your motherboard model on there but couldn't find it.

from the manual:

I installed nforce drivers 1.2 and broke my installation. (black screen two mouse coursers)
I think I will try now with the distro iATKOS v2.0i I read somewhere that it can handle nforce. cross your fingers.

After lots of tweaking with Kalyway (this time with the nforce kernel
 ) I got everything working (even firewire on final cut) except for audio.Please help, I have the ADI AD1986A souldmax 6 channel on board. thanks oli Last edited by olik; 03-31-2009 at 02:15 AM.
