Processor
Hey there, I'm getting ready to start this build but have a few questions before I start ordering parts. The main thing I'm wondering is you stated that the processor doesn't matter, so what are the stipulations as far as what processor can be used?
Thanks a bunch, can't wait to get started on this.

As you can see in the latest combo you can try even core i7 ;P So I think theres no limits, just avoid AMD, cuz they are hard to install, and I dont think youŽll buy something before core 2 duo, so youŽll be fine with any processor, Core 2 duo, Quad Core, Core i7 ;P

P45 chipsets??
Well hwllo to everyone. This very moment i decided to use mac os on my pc. So after a bit of searching to the threads and to the HCL i saw that none of the mobos of Asus with the P45 chipset is not supported!!.. Wel my setup is the followig:
Asus P5Q intel e8400 4 gigs RAM Mushkin ATI sapphire HD 4850 Is any of the releases going to support this setup?... (Please don't tear me apart... :p) Thanks you all...

hi i m new for hackintosh..
i just wanna ask,that can i hackintosh with the following specs.... Asus P5KPL CM (G-31 chipset), intel core2duo E7200 2.53 GHz, nvidia geforce 8600 GT (1GB) 3 GB RAM (800 MHz) plz help me ....... can i hackintosh whit the above specs... i m totally and deadly new to it... Any help will be appreciated....... Thanx in advance....

Hey is there any guides for my set up? I'm getting ready for this hack.. and I'm getting excited. Here's my list.
Gigabyte - GA-EP45-UD3P (MOBO) Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0 Ghz Memory - Dual Channel 4 Gig Ram Evga - 512 MB Video Card 9800 GTX+ SATA HDD 350 Gig SATA DVD+ Burner Drive Appreciate all the helps.. thanks.

Hey icchansan, maybe I can pick your brain... I'm a total newbie when it comes to isx86.
My current setup is this: Asus P5NSLI, Intel 2.13, Intel Core2Duo 2.13Ghz, 8gb of ram, Nvidia 7300GT. Would this system be able to run 10.5.6? Which would be the best installer to use? Are there any guides for this specific mobo? As well, if I were to build a new system with the Asus P5Q Deluxe, Core 2 Quad Q9550, what would be a higher alternative to the 8800GT card I could use? I'm looking to run Final Cut and Color on this system. Thanks in advance for any help! Edit: I should also mention that I read alot more than I post, hence the low post count!
