Try to install for real, if it doesnt boot try with cpus=1 -v -x, your processor its ok but dont sure about your chipset :/

Yeah wait for darwin, press F8 and type:
it will boot in verbose mode, if you see any error report back, with luck it should boot into OSX installation

Ok however firstly gonna delete some junk off my computer then partition then dual boot, i dont wanna lose everything or. Ill make the CD and boot and see what happens. if it works ill install later.

Managed to get to the install part but didn't install since I don't have room yet. However do I need to do all the things in the terminal? or not? Thanks for your great help. I didn't have to use cpus=1 -v -x

I have a asus p6t deluxe v2. what wireless card will work with these. sorry newbie

check in the HCL, there lots of info there for your needs, check the list, compare prices and go for it ;D

I am very new to this project. I asked quite a few MAC'inoids to convince me to move from PC to MAC and nobody managed, because my PC works well enough for last four years and had required just some cheap upgrades.

Then I was told about the hackintosh and now my all free time is spent reading forums and the more I read, the more I am getting confused. I really don't mind the PC, but knowing MAC and its applications would increase my employability, I guess. I need a powerful one to easily handle CS4,video editing, 3D animation and modeling and so on. I was thinking about the suggested i7 processor one with Gigabyte or Asus MOBO and some GT (not GTX) video card . Has anybody tried this cinfiguration? Are there any issues that would make me cry over my spent money? I need the Audio and video work perfectly. Wi-Fi is not important as long as the LAN works.

I would like to have Windows and OSX on separate HDD's with possibility to share files from external hard drive.
Any advice would be greately appreciated. Has anybody built fully functional Hackintosh with i7?

Has anyone managed to build a dual processor Core i7 Hackintosh that will rival a real Dual Nehalem Xeon Mac Pro?

And if so, what parts did you use, and how much did it cost?

Of coz, you didnt read the 1st post? theres some combos with core i7, now if you wanna try dual core i7 try with asus or gigabyte and report back, I dont think it will be a problem.
