I'm going to take my chances here, hoping someone can guide me.

Like I said, I've done a lot of reading, and I'm not bad at all with computers, but I can't seem to figure out WHAT I need to do. Please be gentle with me, as I said...I've been afraid to ask for a year, and now that I've been an unemployed graphic designer for 3 months now, it's about damn time I make this happen.

Here's my hardware, will it work?

Motherboard: P5Q3 DELUXE/WIFI-AP CH1-11
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz
RAM: G.SKILL 2x2GB 240-Pin DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)
Video Card: BFG Tech GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0

It's a good system, she's been very good to me...I'm going to need another hard drive, I've known that for a long time...but still...where do I start? I refuse to believe that this hardware is still too new to run a hackintosh on.

thank you
Should work without problem, here a guide for your system

I really wanted to install. So VIA is totally uncompatible with any distros? I've tried to install mac onto Microsoft virtual pc using iatkos v7 andi get an unrecoverable processor error has been found or something among those lines. Would a retail DVD work?
