Ended up bying the Intel D945GCLF Motherboard with Atom CPU.
Installed using iATKOS 5i. Works like a charm. No prob.

hey guys probably a dumb question but anyone out there know if there is a difference (as far as compatibility for a hackintosh) between asus p6t deluxe and the pt6 deluxe V2. i know the v2 has more memory capacity but will it work with the above build.

Hi first time post, one quick question and seeking a little reassurance

I thinking of building a Hackintosh (Boot 132 - retail DVD)
based on the below specs

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5
Processor: Intel Core i7 920
Video: ATI 4870 or 4890
Hard Drive: 500GB 7200 rpm + 500 GB 7200 rpm
Memory: 6GB RAM DDR3
Power Supply 750/1000w
DVDRW Serial ATA

Looking at HCL for 10.5.7 the 4890 should be workable, and worst comes to worst i can have two GPU's (one 9800 or like) until i get the 4890 working in OSX

Final question is on the specs the HDD's don't mention SATA or IDE.. i am assuming that i should go for SATA.. am i right?

Nothing bought yet as being careful before i start.
(apart from leopard for current imac)

They both should work, go for ATX and yes 9800GTX have support,

Robla, all of them should work with a patched kernel, like voodoo or speedstep

Drozon, Good combo there, go for it, for the video check netkas site
