Is this a good plan? (Dual boot question.)

I have a good PC with XP on it, and I want to tinker with the iPhone SDK. I'm thinking about doing this:

Buy a copy of Leopard
Buy a second hard drive, and keep both HDs installed
Install OSX on the second HD
Set up some kind of boot selector at startup, OR...
If the dual boot thing isn't possible, just use the BIOS to boot a different drive depending on the OS I wanted

Any flaws with that plan? Can I have both HDs installed, each with a different OS? Any advice?
