Restore keeps stalling on every attempt....
I can leave it running for hours, never goes any further.

Is the comm board dead, or is it the logic board?

No, but someone else did after they dropped it.

I wasn't hardware unlocked or anything, but it won't restore, just stalls forever.
Pretty sure it's the logic board that's fubar??

It will sit @ the above line indefinately....left it for an hour

well if you opened it
then you might have broken alot more that just the logic board
maybe even the comm board so does anything on the iphone work?

Turns on/off, screen works.
Not too worried about opening it up, since....
1. It was dropped
2. someone already had opened it up

The phone itself is very easy to disassemble, again not too worried
Just looking for an opinion from someone who understands the hardware of the phone.
It's obvious that the restore process starts, communication w/ device is clearly shown in the restore log file(s).
So wondering if it's worth trying a diff logic board.

Using iphoneinterface.exe can communicate with the iPhone, but still no go on a restore.
