i have a spare iphone 2g and the phone likes to turn off randomly when its on standby (when i press the power button) but it only randomly turns off when the silver case is connected...i dettatched the cable and let the phone run without a case or anything and it didnt turn off at all...could there be something in the case shorting the battery??

Also..when i put the case back on and set the phone to stay awake and not auto-lock, it stays on until the battery dies...

very strange problem. anyone, any suggestions??

So i was playing around and i put the housing on without the flex cables screwed on and it was fine. Then i tried with just the flex cable with the home button, vibrator, volume etc and it was that which made it not turn on...



How is that so??
