I have a spare 2G logicboard lying around which im pretty sure works...i want to test that it works in order to sell it...
Can i remove a different logicboard from the comm board while the battery is still attached without anything short circuiting or burning anything...?? Any recommendations welcome! Thanks |

I've done this many times in the past when I worked on 2G iPhones. I never had an issue. If you want to be 100% safe and have good soldering skills, then remove the battery first. No harm in that. Personally, I found it to be a huge hassle to desolder the battery unless I absolutely had to.

desoldering just the ground battery cable(black) wont require quantum physics and would save you a lot of hassles as it shuts power of the board completely. nb when you do desolder, use tape tape to hold the wire against the body of the battery so it dont touch anywhere as yo make your change. i hope i aint too late ![]() goodluck man! |
