Default Iphone No service antenna repair

Hi all.

I started having NO SERVICE in my iphone since 2 weeks ago. Yesturday I took it to technical support and somehow got one signal bar , then NO SERVICE and goes ON and OFF. In my home no service.

They just told me is the antenna and that they could not fix it. I really don´t undersatnd how could the antenna got damaged if it has been working just fine for the last 8 months. I tried everything of software to the point I simple stop trying.

I want to know if replacing the antenna will make full 5 bar signal at is was before?

Does anyone has done it already and any advice? Do I glue the antenna ends?

Please Help

Thanks

hi i have already repaired some phones with "no signal" problems. In your case i would disassamble the phone and check at the bottom, where the antenna "meets" the mainboard, if the resistor is still at its place. If not you've found your problem. ;-)

Just try to replace it. If your antenna has been damaged there is no other way to make it ok. Do you have an insurance? If so there is no problem. Otherwise you have to walk & walk to the apple store.
