Ok so basically my headphone port use to be broke (think i got some fluff or something jammed in there when it was in my pocket).

After months of vigorously pushing the headphones in the socket and twisting to get it to work intermitently, suddenly it fixed itself and works perfectly!.

However the in-line mic on the headset and in-line control for answering calls refuses to work atall.
Wondering is it possible that a semi broken headphone port/ headphone flex cable to result in perfectly working headphones but non working mic-control.

Just thinking wether replacing the headphone flex cable + port would fix the issue?

i answered my own question. After more pushing and twisting of the headphone plug the control tool appears to work intermitently so yes that would be the problem.
