Default Iphone 3g 16gb very dim screen

Thanks for all who helped with my last problem. One of my friends have an iphone 3g 16gb that was dropped into water, phone works great just a very dim screen. I was seeing if anyone has/had/having this problem and has an idea to fix it? Checked and the screen brightness is turned up all the way. Thanks for your time

The LCD needs replacing, water and LCD's do not mix and the iPhones LCD is prone to dimness or not lighting up at all.
