i paired mine just now.. the phone paired with it then why cant it transfer songs to the headset? is it merely for calling purposes?

the bluetooth headsets are made for calling... it wont transfer music i got 1 then returned it caz it wudnt let me listen to music during class and i went to the apple store and they said its not ment for music -_-
