Do I need only to replace the original file and to restart the device. ?

Befere there was a need for this command:
ldid -S /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/IAP.framework/Support/iapd

Is it needed now ?

has any one managed to patch the iapd file for iphone 2g 3.0 firmware, i had a look at the iphone 3g 3.0 patch it is very similar, but i do not know how to apply the same patch on to the 2g file. i am sure that the iapd ad 2g/3g specific commands in the iapd. coz 3g 3.0 did not work on my 2g iphone.

as far as I can see the file has correct permissions
root
wheel
0755

but not working longer than the 16/17 seconds...It seems to work with some and not others so not sure if there is a fix that some one could look into.

The picture and sound are perfect for those 16seconds too!

One thing I didnt test untill just before was music.

Same thing happens to music now it plays and then stops after 15seconds or so.....
So I am going to have to wait and see if some solution comes out or I have to pony up and give apple money

I have news ... works quite well but randomly stops the video (a couple of times over 30 minutes) but only have to play him again.

Playz - i have the same issue. I can play video or music for about 15 secs, then it stops requiring me to hit play again.
Checked permissions etc and all good there.
Is there any chance we are using the wrong iapd file? Some users seem to be able to get it working.
(iPhone 3G fw3.0 on Orange UK)

Just confirmed that this does not work on the 3gs.....anyway, can you do a patch for that? Or at least post a guide on how to do it?

has any one got the original iphone 2.2 and 2.2.1 iapd, coz i want to compare it with the patched visions to see what patches are applied to the file so that i can apple it to iphone 3.0 iapd to make third party av cables work with the firmware.
