so we have to create our own 2.1 patch files?

cant some1 just make a app for cydia or whatever that will just patch it all up? really wanna get this cable to work!

you only have to create your own 2.1 patch file once - i.e its not done

i only have 2.0, so i can patch my 2.0 iapd.

when winpwn 3 comes out i will upgrade to 2.1 and hence patch 2.1

all i can suggest is that you take the whole iapd off 2.0 and use it for 2.1 i REALLY cant post that anywhere cause thats posting apple's work VERBATIM so can someone try it and see?

Are the official Apple cables still working?
Any change with the 3rd party cables that used to work with 2.0 but stopped working with 2.1 (e.g. dealextreme)?

I just ordered a cable form ebay for $9.99.
It supposedly works with firmware versions 2.0 and 2.2 on the iTouch and iPhone.

NOT THE 2.1 firmware.

I will post back if it really works or not.

Damn it's $8.99 now...

The vendor just emailed me saying that they never meant to say that it worked with 2.2 firmware and offered to let me keep the cable and refund my money... At least I have one to play with now
