Don't restore from backup. Set it as "new iPhone"

DFU restore to firmware 2.2.1 in iTunes again, then redo the unlock. After this is doen iTunes will ask you to "restore data from a backup" or "setup as a new iphone". Choose "setup as a new iPhone". You were choosing restore... at your first attempt and probably got back old preference files from 1.1.3 from your backup. this is probably causing the trouble you experience.

I second what volkspost said. Sync issues/little annoyances (such as YouTube connection issues on iPhone) can usually be attributed to restoring from a backup. I have experienced a similar issue with one of my iPod touch devices, and a restore + the latest version of iTunes + *not* restoring from backup seemed to get it going again.
