Default General Jailbreak erros (usb activity logs)

Hello everyone, I've just spent the greater part of this weekend trying to jailbreak my iPhone (with absolutely no success) for unlocking purposes. I've tried several methods and the end result is the same, the jailbreak process stops when I'm asked to reboot the phone in Recovery mode.

Some background on my iPhone: it has been updated to firmware 1.02 via iTunes 7.4.1, it has NOT been activated though (i live outside US), I'm using windows XP SP2, and it's hasn't been broken out of jail.

I don't know where the problem lies, I don't know if it's the firmware conflicting with the jailbreak software or if the problem is with my iPhone or my USB ports. In order to shed some light into the subject I downloaded a USB monitor to see the information comming and going from my iPhone to my computer.

iTunes seems to be communicating really well with the iPhone. But both Jailbreak and iBrickr come to a complete stop when the phone needs to reboot in recovery.

The last few lines before going into recovery mode look like this

012192: Abort Pipe (UP), 16.09.2007 20:02:17.359 +0.515. Status: 0x00000000 Pipe Handle: 0x89d14e6c (Endpoint Address: 0x4)

012193: Abort Pipe (UP), 16.09.2007 20:02:17.359 +0.0. Status: 0x00000000 Pipe Handle: 0x89d14e6c (Endpoint Address: 0x4)

012194: PnP Event: Surprise Removal (UP), 16.09.2007 20:02:17.359 +0.0 The USB device has just been disconnected from the system.

012195: Abort Pipe (DOWN), 16.09.2007 20:02:17.359 +0.0 Pipe Handle: 0x89d14e4c (Endpoint Address: 0x85)

012196: Abort Pipe (UP), 16.09.2007 20:02:17.875 +0.515. Status: 0x00000000 Pipe Handle: 0x89d14e4c (Endpoint Address: 0x85)

012197: PnP Event: Device Disconnected (UP), 16.09.2007 20:02:17.875 +0.0 The USB device has just been removed from the system, all drivers unloaded.

At this point I reboot the phone into Recovery, but the activity in the USB port is completely dead (it's like the phone doesn't tell the computer that it's there).

If anybody wants to take a look at the logs let me know and I'll send you a copy of the files (can't seem to upload them here). I'm gonna send Nate True a copy of the logs and this post also.

Thanks everyone!
