I copied a mp4 movie using iFunbox into ipod music & video and all went OK and iFunbox said please respring or reboot. I did but now everything on iPode is gone and it hangs when I run iPod. Still I can see all contents of iPod in iFunbox. Also iTunes says cand read from iPhone, go to summary and restore to original factory setting. How can I fix this?

I did exactly the same thing about a month ago. I tried all the solutions I could find on the internet without success.

My only option was to backup my contacts database, sms database and then do a restore. Followed by a re-sync with iTunes. If anyone else has managed to recover from this, I would be interested to know how they did it.

Sorry this isn't much help, but my experience is that you can't resolve this easily and probably should only copy media files using iTunes

I have a few paied apps which owner charged me for installation and I have to pay again if I restore. I hope someone here helps us with this problem.

Is there anyone around to be able to transfer media using iFunbox successfully?

Just by changing DBversion from 4 to 2 iPod works great again. I see all my songs and videos again and no need to restore. Still iTunes 8 can't recognize iPhone and says I need to restore but I think I can wait till next version of iFunbox to resolve this problem.
