Hi All,

i have an issue with my iphone 2G. when i connect to my laptop(both work and personal), the iphone is recognized by windows and itunes comes up. However it just says iphone, no capacity or serial number is displayed. I tried to do a complete restore using itunes + firmware 2.0.1. The process fails with a 1611 error code. These are the last few lines from the updater.log

Please help on this. My iphone took a fall on a hard surface few days back. Is that the cause of this issue?
