I have tried to use the various commcenter hacks, ipcc files, and even mobile configs to enable stock apple tethering, it did not work for me. I have a jailbroken 3GS, and 3G iPhones on FW 3.1.2, with legitimate accounts at ATTUsa. I jailbroke with blackra1n, which is MUCH faster than Pawnage, IF you dont need Hacktivation, and cannot unlock. I am tethering for FREE with PDANet. I think it is a better option than the several LOOONG threads on tethering that rely on using terminal to modify iTunes so you can add a custom ipcc. PDANet is soooo much easier, and it works even on a PowerPC Mac, which Apple style tethering does not. Did I mention PDANet is FREE! |

PDANET is free ?
I thought 14 days free evaluation but after that you have to purchase to obtain license. Unless this has changed recently ?

thats what I posted in the other thread on jon_sliders info. It is free full featured trial for 14 days, 29 US$ then. PDANet keeps on working then - if not paid - in trial mode only allowing port 80 connections = web
