ANYONE with week 39 can confirm with it has a 1.1.1 with IMEI 01130100??

Excluding the 4 gig. I am making this thread as a database for easy future search. I will start what the serial ID is believed to mean:

7R7 (R is one of the earlier production, so confirmed you are safe)
7R734 (34 is the production week)

1 confirmed 8 gig for 7V738 is confirmed to have a 1.0.2 version.

GUYS, WATCH OUT FOR 7r739 (week 39) believed to have 1.1.1 version.

7S738's all came with 1.0.2

also confirmed serial number 7V738 comes with 1.02 (ordered from apple website)

7u730 with 1.02

Serial 7R735 FW 1.0.2

I just got 2 phones a few hours ago, both are 7R739xxxxH8. I checked one of them and it's 03.14.08_G, meaning it's 1.0.1 or 1.0.2! Lucky me...

Just came back from Apple Store at 5th Ave, NYC with brand new iPhone,
iPhone SN is 7U738 and it came with FW 1.0.2...

I have a 7R733 and its a 1.0.2

7R726 code and I can't remember which initial firmware it was, since I hacked and cracked it multiple times

Just got a 7R738 and it is oke 1.0.2 CA Apple Store

I got 2 of 7R739 and they're 1.0.x. (Haven't try to activate them yet, just emergency call test.)

I've got a few serials also:

7R738 -> 1.02 Firmware
7S738 -> 1.02 Firmware
7T737 -> 1.02 Firmware
7U737 -> 1.02 Firmware
7S732 -> 1.01 Firmware
7T730 -> 1.00 Firmware
7S730 -> 1.00 Firmware
7U730 -> 1.00 Firmware
7S729 -> 1.00 Firmware
7U729 -> 1.00 Firmware

7R730 - i am pretty sure it came with 1.0.1 if not 1.0.0 i had to upgrade to 1.0.2

7R735 was my number: version 1.0.X (upgraded to 1.0.2)

S/N 7S730 Fw. 1.0.0

7R737 and 7T738, I have not open them yet, but strongly believed they have 1.0.2 or lesser.

I just unlocked two 7R739 7***H8. Anything before that should be <1.02..

7R739 and 7T737
both safe, as in either 1.0.1 or 1.0.2

Yes. I've unlocked two 7R739xxxxxH8. Bought 2 this afternoon.

7t737 = 1.0.2
7t739 = 1.0.2

bought 3 phones today with 7U739 all 1.1.1 i opened one to check, it sucks but thats the chance you take.

7S739xxxxH8 is dead, 1.1.1.

Why?

because we know everything we need to know!

A typical iPhone Serial number: 7T727XYZWH8

Using the above as an example
digits 1 to 3 (7T7) = Year / Batch code
digits 4 to 5 (27) = Week of manufacture
digits 6 to 8 (XZY) = Unique identifier part of the S/N
digits 9 to 11 (WH8) = 8Gb model

We are only interested in digits 4 to 5 which is the Week of manufacturer and we already know that 1.1.1 started shipping part way through week 39.

We don't need to know if your S/N is less than 39 or if its greater than 39.

If you order a phone online, you can check you invoice online and already see what serial number you are getting before the phone even arrives!
(Apples ordering system is pretty cool actually).

If you have 39 as your 4th & 5th digits, what can I say, Apple were not kind enough to start shipping 1.1.1 at the start of a manufacturing week so you have a 50/50 chance that it will be 1.0.2 or 1.1.1

If you have 40 or higher as your 4th & 5th digits, and your not planning to use the phone on AT&T, you may as well start arranging the return of your phone :-)

WTF? Why do you think if the serial ID is important they put it on the box?

I've been buying tons of phones from a store here in Cali, and all of the phones from there have been "R".

I am going tomorrow to get 3 more, hopefully they will be Rs
