I already had IPOD integration installed in my Honda Odyssey for my IPOD, now I use it for my IPhone....it works fine with a few "gotchas"
The IPhone displays that "accessory" is attached and prompts me on whether to switch to AIRPLANE mode to reduce radio interference. I have to unplug the IPhone** and then go into Podcasts to manually select my Podcasts, I don't have this problem with playing music. I really like how when an incoming call is detected it starts lowering the IPhone volume of the music, etc. and then toggles over into Phone mode....very cool. **There must be a better way of doing this, but I haven't found it yet.

i have the ipod integration on my bmw as well. it functions pretty much exactly the same as it did with the ipod classic - i wish it would allow me to select music on-the-fly, but it's still stuck with the 6 playlists that have to be set. it's not a huge deal, as i'll just start on random most times before plugging it in. that way, i get a nice selection on my trip - if i don't like a song, i can skip it on my steering wheel controls

If you have a cassette deck still in the car (I know...), get one of the CD>Cassette adapters that used to come with the old Discmans. Works great, I leave the phone on the seat or in the center console face up and I hear/talk to anyone when a call comes in (just the annoying slide to answer) - and it only costs like $5 :p Of course you'll likely need a converter for the headphone jack
