Is there a way to be able to play your music through your Computer from your iPhone?

I have tried to play a song from a different computer than the one it was originally set up on. Although all the songs appear to be there, they are greyed out. To fix it on an iPod you used to just be able to tick "Manually manage" but I see nothing that is similar to this on the iPhone.
