I've got my phone unlocked and I am having some issues with getting EDGE to work, but I'd just like to know if anyone has been able to send and/or receive text messages on their iPhone on TMobile...

I know some have had issues getting SMS in but I have had no problems and the moment I put in my SIM I received my first text message.

I have an iphone with Tmobile sim (not prepaid) and everything works except for the bluetooth which I'm going to find out in a few hours or days (I need to borrow a headset to make sure it connects)

I tested my friends T-Mobile Sim in my unlocked iPhone. SMS works, voice mail works, EDGE works.

He had the full Internet package for his DASH phone.

would a T-Mobile prepaid sim work?

i've been using tmobile prepaid without problem. everything works except edge even i configured to wap.voicestream.com still no go.

How old is your sim...you probably want to upgrade your sim... go to a tmo store tell them you are having problems with it.

make sure you go to a company tmo store not an "authorized dealer"

no data on tmo prepaid...sorry folks!

but on my tmobile cell i was able to get t-zone feature without any charge.

UPDATE: EDGE finally started working on both iPhones (mine and my wife's). Thanks for the confirmation that text messages are coming through - I'll stop by the local T-Mobile store and see if they can replace my SIM card.
