does the youtube search work on 5.99 tzones for you guys? ive had everything else working for a day or two and others were having this problem and im wondering if someone fixed it...i can view youtube vids under featured, most viewed, bookmarks, etc, but not search for any....thx in advance

i cant wait to get my iphone and get this 5.99 plan, pretty excited

Wow, thank you all! This actually works! - but it wasn't as easy as I had expected it to be. Half of the time, my Edge settings (despite changed the APN to voicestream) would revert back to the original cingular settings for some reason. But everytimeI went into the Edge settings to change it back to voicestream, I'd have to reupload the altered .plist . It was back and forth for a while... but eventually worked!

One important thing I think was that I had the <key>Proxies.. etc section inserted at the right place in my .plist file, but the indentations (which I thought i had right) were wrong and seemed to make a difference. Eventually I downloaded some of the previously posted .plists just to have a look and noticed the indentation difference. I copied just that section out from the posted .plists and replaced what I had put in my original .plist ... and it finally worked!

Another thing that made things difficult was that, half hte time, under the FieldTest the PDP selection would disappear after I touched it! Other times, it just kindof hangs... deleting and reuploading the .pac and .plist files and reentering the voicestream APN eventually helped... Wish I knew what the exact steps should be though. Even after I sucessfully did it for my first iphone, it still took a lot of back/forth copying for almost 30mins to get it to work on the second one...

I have tried and tried to get this to work. Does anyone want to take a shot at trying to help me out, maybe take a look at my files and let me know if I have them in correct format...??? I'd like to get this working but cannot seem to get it right..

Error 502 - Bad Request
The server could not resolve your request for uri: /

I have tzone enabled for my phone and the APN is set to: wap.voicestream.com

I am in San Francisco, CA. Anyone has gotten their iphone to work with tzone in San Francisco? Thanks for your help!

Guys, also please note that the Total Internet (which is $19.99) includes unlimited WiFi access to T-Mobile hotspots globally!

This means wifi access over your iPhone also (can be easily setup with a new free tool that auto-logs you into T-Mobile Hotspots). Did I mention that the access is global??

Considering the TMobile hotspots are pretty ubiquos where I am, it's well worth the extra 14 bucks/month + I spend a lot of time sitting in Starbucks..

Yeah, I can't get the search to work on T-Zones. But I can view videos. Strange, but it must use a different port for the search..

Are you sure it's not working? I noticed that search is limited on the youtube client. It seems to be a limited set of videos from the standard site. For example, I search for a helicopter video 'Maxir' and only get one hit on the iPhone youtube client. There are over a dozen hits on the standard youtube site. So maybe you are just seeing the limited selection of youtube mobile.

so this 5.99 plan will work everywhere right, if im at a place which has no wifi, ill still be able to view the interent right? and if im at a place which has wifi, i can just connect via wifi?
