we found an easier method to start the unlock.app without all this chmod and ssl complications. Starting with the unlock.app we created a selfexecutable unlock.pxl which can be uploaded with ibrickr to the iphone.

Can please someone point us to a site where we can upload the file for the rest of you?

i used this method for windows and those were the tools - in this order:

and then:

just put the file on your desktop. start ibrickr, connect to your iPhone, go to "applications" choose "Install from PXL file" and pick up unlock.pxl from your desktop and voila!

There is no such thing as "easiest":

Klipseracer simplified the process even further and put the unlock.pxl in the list of ibrickr applications. You find his excellent guide with everything you need at http://i-hacks.net/?page_id=55

one last question: can someone pm me the edge settings for the german carrier BASE (should be the same as EPlus)

Prior to this we had the problem that after we loaded unlock.app onto the iPhone the unlock process wouldn't start.

Hope this works for you as well. No need to copy files to the iPhone, just upload the unlock.xpl application with ibrickr and hit unlock.

hi, i got my unlock.app from IPSF. But how can i upload or install all the file that extracted from the zip file? I have no idea where to place the files to. Can anyone please show me..

no need to do that. no uploading of files necessary.

just put the file on your desktop. start ibrickr, connect to your iPhone, go to applications > Install from PXL file and pick up unlock.pxl from your desktop and voila! After reboot hit unlock on your iphone and off you go.

wait util it says "completed", hit home, switch off the phone and then put in your new sim card. Thats what we did and it worked just fine.
