Default My free unlock ride.. Mac users.

Downloaded all the files posted in all the guides..

Restored 1.0.2 in 7.4.1
Jailbreak and activate with my Fido SIM in the phone using iNdependence
Installed AppTap Installer.. installed BSD/SSH/Community Sources
Installed more fun stuff.. but then got back to the hack
Used Transmit to SFTP into my phone over WiFi
Threw all the files in /usr/bin/
Opened up a Terminal window and SSH'd into my phone
ssh root@123.456.789.012
Threw it dottie as my PW (I changed mine later)
Then hit the following:
chmod +x iUnlock
launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
iUnlock ICE03.14.08_G.fls nor
Waited like 15-20 (made some EasyMac)
Then hit the following:
bbupdater -v
It errored out.. so I
chmod +x bbupdater
bbupdater -v
Said some cool stuff bout xgen
So I bounced into Minicom
minicom
It loads up fine
AT
I get OK back
AT+CLCK="PN",0,"00000000"
I get another OK
AT+CLCK="PN",2
Get a cool 0 back.. woo woo
So I drop outa Minicom with CTRL-A then hit Z to exit
Then I finish it up
launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
A couple of seconds I get a warning that my iPhone is ON! WOO!.. I powerdown and back.. and Fido and signal.. so far everything works (have not checked EDGE though)

If I do any others I would use a Terminal on the phone to save and risk of loosing connection mid process.

Congrats man! I really, really appreciate you posting this. Couple of questions:

1) Is your phone sound quality okay?
2) PPC or INTEL Mac?

Thanks.

"Threw all the files in /usr/bin/"

Where did you get these files?

http://mirror1.deadbeef.cn/iUnlock.zip seems to be an Excel file.

Any help?

In a bunch of the forum posts there were link.. I wasnt really paying attention

Sound quality seems fine.. can really compare as never used it as a phone pre hack.

Did it on a G5 PPC iMac (but did most of it on an Intel Mac before I left work and then just started again on the iMac at home)

S.

Terminal disconnects before I can type any commands!? When I press 3rd key it says:
Connection to ---.---.-.--- closed.

What is wrong? Any ideas?

Transmit is a Mac FTP client that supports the SFTP protocol.. dont recall anything about a lockdownd file..

Try restarting minicom.. sometimes what you type shows up in odd places on your screen depending on your terminal window sizes..
