I have an iPhone 3G with fw 2.1 and now the carrier logo is a bit harder to change via SSH. How do i do this now? I just want to change the two images.

The logos are in the carrier bundles from memory located at.

Yes i know where it is located But i dont know what to change. And my operator isnt listed there. I use onecall... How do i know wich logo files to change?

Well, you have to mess with the bundles. I am creating a new one copying settings from the other bundles and modifying them accordingly. I will probably post some info on how to do it.

open the .bundle and replace the FSO_CARRIER_*.png to change the springboard logo & the Default_CARRIER_*.png to change the menu logo.

Since your Carrier isnt supported.

Youd rather go to /private/var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundle.bundle/
(Its a shortcut to your Carrier Bundle in use.

This is with your SIM inside.

This way, youll find out which Carrier Bundle to edit.

Change the Default_CARRIER_*********.png and FSO_CARRIER_**********.png..
Use a size of your liking. Id recommend 70x20ish.

if your carrier is not in list you need to make copy one of bundles and rename it to any name for your carrier, then edit some text in it and then finally you will need to make some LINK to that file, for example my carrier name is BeeLineAM, it is not in list, I have created BeeLineAM.bundle, edited text and than I made link of carrier code (in my case 28301) bundle.
To edit file you need to know also how your carrier name is presented in Iphone. Look on left top of iphone and remember how it is written. That what you need to add in files to match to your logo.

Give me your Carrier code and name which is shown on top of screen of iphone (type exactly as is) and I will make an example for you.

If your carrier is not supported, you can also add it to carrier.plist on Unknown.bundle folder. You can copy the <dict> from another operator and edit it. This will works.

Hey tivad, My carrier name is STC ... could you please give me an example of what u just said? i have 2.2 FW. Could you please be more specific about how to do alll these steps? i mean how do u edit the text and WHAT do u edit in it? and how do u link it? and where do u get the ID code from?

i would really appreciate if u helped me on this.
