itunes showing wrong phone number after number change?
hi everybody,
i have a 2g iphone running 2.1 firmware on tmobile. i had a number ported in from another provider and did a number change with tmobile. everything works perfectly. i send/receive all calls and sms with the new ported in number... but when i plug my phone into my computer, itunes shows my phone number as the old number before the number change. how can i fix this?

Are you using the same SIM Card?
The number is stored in the SIM Card and it is just a "display" thing and has no functional application. Anyone can change it to any value and it will show in iTunes. Scan this forum for "own number" and you will find several ways to set/reset/change it.

I was looking for this for a while and stumbled upon it in.
In 'Settings' -> 'phone' -> 'My Number' change it here. sync with itunes, sorted
