Hello,
I am new, and Im hoping to get some help here. I have familiarized myself with the PSS Dual sim card adapter that will unlock the iphone. I feel that $120 is a little high on the price. I have bought 4 of the same thing on ebay for 0.99 a peice, plus $4 shipping. I have read that this will not work, because the genuine PSS adapter is pre loaded with special software. I will confirm this when i recieve my generic adapters. Is there anyone who would be willing to put their genuine PSS adapter in a SIM card reader and send me the software contents that make it work? I feel this would be of great benefit to the community, and i would be happy to pay someone for this, or send them a free adapter with the software they gave me on it. (Some people may want a 2nd one.) Once this software is on a cheap $1 adapter, it would work perfectly. (That is, if there is actually any non-standard software on the real PSS adapter.) I am not trying to attack the people selling the genuine version, but i feel their price is simply unreasonable. Thanks in advance, Patrick |

This inicates the it may not be able to be updated. Im just hoping that it will work as is. Maybe the info about the PSS having special software was just to keep business strong. I should have mine by monday, so ill report back. Can anyone shed some additional light? |

What i meant to say is that the software on these adapters is, acording to the wikipedia article linked above, apparently hard to change or update features.... i.e. we might not be able to simply add the software from PSS (PSS are the ones sold specificaly for iphone) adapters to these cheaper adapters. Im hoping for the best |

PSS is most likely using a different version of the low level software to use the exploit described here (IMSI reading trick - on the first read and after the third read, return the subscription IMSI, on the second read, return a dummy AT&T IMSI).
This is not something that can be done with software on a regular STK dual SIM. You'll have to desolder the PIC and reprogram it to do that, which is not easy (or call Geo ) But still, that's clearly not worth 100$ IMHO

Hi,
does anyone know how the routing in case of dual IMSI is working? I mean, normally dual IMSI means also dual MSISDNs.What about MSCs? When I for ex roam with my second IMSI and MSISDN, will i get a second MSC assigned? Is it possible to have a dual IMSI SIM but use one MSISDN? thanks, emmy |
