Default How to create symlink FOLDERS (not files)? SOLVED

I deleted the Applications symlink from root on my iPhone. I have no stock apps, etc. after reboot.

I believe that if I can recreate the symbolic link everything will work fine, however, when I do this in Cyberduck, it creates the link as a FILE link. Under Info in Cyberduck, it says the Kind is Symbolic Link (File) while a friend's iPhone shows Symbolic Link (Folder).

How do I use Cyberduck or Terminal to create the correct type of symbolic link? I've been using the following syntax:

ln -s /private/var/stash/Applications Applications

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated - it'll save me from a full restore!

... If you can log using Cyberduck, you can log using plain SSH, and create symlink by yourself

If on a UNIX, including OS X, open a Terminal window, and type

ssh root@your.phone.ip.address

Then type your password -- if you did not change it, is "alpine" -- and create your link as the syntax you already have.

If on Windows, I recommend getting PuTTY and setting it up to connect as root to your.phone.ip.address, log on phone and create link.

What ended up "fixing" my problem was:

ln -s //var/stash/Applications Applications

That created a symlink folder that allowed me to avoid a restore.
