Default Link for Itunes Old Version (windows)

Hi i saw alot are having problems with the new itunes. I myself didnt experience any while i was jailbreaking last night iwth the the new version. However i wanted to downgrade anyway just to be sure.

I tested the links and they work. choose a version at the side. Uninstall your current version first which i assume is 7.4

http://filehippo.com/download_itunes/?3005

P.S. they have alot of older versions before 7.4 too!!!

Detailed Instructions:
1. Uninstall Itunes 7.4 ( dont be scared! your library and playlists will not be lost)
2. download itunes 7.3.2 at http://filehippo.com/download_itunes/?3005
3. install it
4. Note: after you install it, when you run it an error will appear saying something like itunes 7.3.2 cannot read the file "Itunes Library" because it was created by a newer version of Itunes which in this case is itunes 7.4 So what you have to do is

First, go into My Documents / My Music / iTunes and see if there is a directory called Previous iTunes Libraries. Open this and find the one with the most recent date and copy it to your desktop.

Go back into your iTunes directory from above. Look for the file named "iTunes Library.itl" and copy this name. Then delete this file. The file that you copied to your desktop, rename it to "iTunes Library.itl" and move it to this iTunes directory.

In other words rename the file inside Previous Itunes Libraries which is "Itunes Library (date)" to "iTunes Library.itl" and replace it to the one outside the folder.

5. Run itunes and there you go you have your old itunes 7.3.2 back!

let me know if you guys have any problems installing.

HI,

You mentioned you haven't had any problems with iTunes 7.4 with your jailbroken iPhones, right?

would mind sharing more details about it?

Well, have tried to restore your phone with iTunes 7.4 or simply sync'ed it?

Well, if you could state exactly how your iPhone was and what you did to it while using iTunes 7.4 it would be extremely helpful.

Cheers.

Uhm what i experienced last night was do you know the "point and click activation posted here?" i used that to activate my old att sim in my iphone last week however yesterday it suddenly said incorrect sim i think its when i updated from 1.01 to 1.02. so anyways my iphone wont boot anymore so i need to restore the iphone when i restored it using 7.3.2 it always stops at the middle and hungs. so i thought maybe i should update my itunes so i updated it to 7.4 and it still didnt restore. so after a couple of minutes i figured out my problem it was my usb dock i inserted it to a faulty usb slot on my cpu. so i plugged it to a different usb slot then i restored using itunes 7.4 then i jailbraiked it using the method from iphonehacks website then used the point and click activation and all was ok. i even used ibrickr and there was no problems. i dont know maybe i used a different method than you.

one more thing i didnt do any hardware unlock methods on my iphone. maybe that helps also i have tried syncing with the iphone videos, photos, music, and used ibrickr for ringtones.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing. Don't worry about me, I don't have any problems with my phone. I don't know if you meant it as a joke, but the "point and click activation" script you mention was wrote by me. So I think we both used the same method.

I'm just trying to figure out what the problem might be so we can try to help the folks who have it.

Would you mind answering some other questions?

Cheers.

Interesting, now we just need a brave soul to try the procedure too and see what happens. Maybe someone that already got the problem should give it a try.

if im not mistaken when updating to 1.0.2 from 1.0.1 the iphone is back in jail, right?
so when you restored using 7.4 you where in yail, therfore it is most likely that being back in jail is safe and everything is ok.
what do you guys think?

hm, ok, so it could be 2 things, resoring from 1.0 to 1.02 in 7.4 and then jailbreaking is ok
or not being in jail, restoring in 7.4 and then jailbreaking is ok
or both
