hi, I haave iphone that has problem, so I need to go to apple sore to claim my warranty.
Problem is its unlocked and i am using tmobile now. So, here is my plan. 1. Restore iphone and re-lock it. 2. Activate with att sim with 2 year contract to get regit att number. (I think if I activate with gophone plan, I will be charged even if I cancel it) 3. Go to apple store with woking att number , and replace my iphone4. Call att customer service to cancel my contract. How does it sound? Sould I need to something more? Also, can they be able to see when my att service is activated? Cause, I bought the iphone 4 months ago, and if they can see my att service is activated few days ago, then they may ask why which I don't have right answer for it.... Let me know if my plan will work or not. Thanks. |

first, whats the problem. you should be able to erase baseband, restore to 1.1.4 and return to apple. no need to sign up with att if you return to apple. its written in the fine print that activation doesnt correspond to apple warrenty.

yep, you don't need to be activated to claim warranty. Try always try to tell you that. Tell them they are wrong.
