I have on 2 occasions in my first 2 weeks of owning my iphone had the alarm fail to go off in the morning. I know it did not go off as I was awake and waiting for it to activate.
On both occasions, as soon as I woke the phone - it showed its normal screen inviting me to slide the button at the bottom - and the time showed around 2 minutes after the alarm should have gone off. No SMS messages, unanswered calls or e-mails had arrived overnight. This seems like a fundamental flaw (I could rely on my previous mobile phone alarm 100% to wake me for a flight, etc) - and such a shame considering how nice the phone is otherwise. Anyone have any ideas - or the same problem. I have seen a few reports by others elsewhere of the same thing. Is there a third party app (for Jailbroken phones) for an alternative alarm clock? I have 1.1.4, Jailbroken and unlocked, and with Summerboard 3.2 and Caterpillar 1.1.1 Any help much appreciated |

Yes - the time is correct. It goes off correctly most days - but not every day! Yesterday fine - but not today.
There are other posts on the web reporting this. See for example: http://discussions.apple.com/thread....sageID=6649161 |

Damn... I will have to keep this in mind!
My old Nokia used to wake me up with its alarm EVEN if the phone was OFF! Amazing stuff that! Come on Apple... Give us some similar features! ;-) P.S. Maybe I am too demanding. |

I do remember that some apps interfer with the alarm clock. I believe taskbar notifier is one of those. Do you have it installed? If I remember correctly, the fix is to delete the alarms you have and setup new ones after you've installed the application.
