At the risk of a full thread of "me too" replies, I'm looking for a solution to a problem: since the update to 1.1.4, Facebook on the iPhone is redirecting to the login page frequently. It's as though it cannot retain the login cookie.

http://iphone.facebook.com/ redirects to the "nice looking" iPhone login page

Then, once you have entered your username and password, you get redirected to:

https://login.facebook.com/login.php...acebook.com%2F

Which then has a SECOND "ugly" login page ... which you then enter your details again, which then takes you to http://iphone.facebook.com/ as per normal.

But then it does not remember you like it used to in pre-v1.1.4 ?!?!

Any ideas ????????

chmod -R 777 /private/var/mobile/Library/Cookies

Will test it out right now!

UPDATE: Did not really work. I don't think. Did it thru WinSCP SSH, rebooted my iPhone, cleared all cookies, rebooted again, tested Facebook website, and it did the same thing!!!

UPDATE #2: I did it again, and it worked.

You need to login to your phone using ssh. If you are on OS X, open Terminal and type ssh root@ip_address_of_phone
