Zuz, can you explain to me how to get the black antenna cover off?

I've already marred up the part where the black antenna cover meets the metal dock... I dont know how to get the tools in there without bending that piece of thin metal! Can you explain to me how to get these clips off? I've tried pushing on the inside of the black cover as hard as I can with the tool and it wont budge... Thanks!

Hey, just one more question I've read that a lot of ppl suffer from weak signals. Do you think it would be worth it to buy a signl booster sticker? Or do these kind of things even work?

u have to use two of these spatulas..
one like the picture shown
and the other u have to insert it between the black plastic and the aluminum casing under the speaker and microphone pores!

once u have it inserted...slowly make ur way all around till u circle around the whole black plastic..

Hello..

So, I have a huge problem.. and it's pretty weird to me..

My iPhone is jailbroken and 1.1.2. It has a Next Sim in it, and until Saturday, everything worked just fine. Now, I have a problem with sending sms.

So till saturday, I could receive sms, send them, make phone calls.. normal. But then, when i tried to send the SMS, 1st it didnt send it, then it did, but the next one got stuck at 90% or so, and the signal went out. The cignal then came back after a few seconds, and I tried again, but then the phone said "ERROR SENDING MESSAGE" and No service. It also threw out a warning "Sim card locked" evn tho it wasnt. So it was really weird. Yesterday, the sending came back, I could send it for like 1 hour or so, and then it didnt work again. Now it's still not working, and the same process goes over and over again, saying "Error sending message", "No service" and "sim card locked" I have tried putting the sim card with the next sim attached to it in another phone, and it worked just perfectly, so i think that the phone is causing problems...

Im desperate, please help me.

The problem is not the same tho, cos I can call and everything, just sending text messages doesnt work.. which is very weird...

@chriscc

...well on my home last night I watch my phone to see if it pick up a signal. At one point my carrier showed 2 bars...i was shocked!! so I pulled over, and just like that it was gone...so I flipped around, drove down the street a little and found the signal again...so I pulled over again and now had 4 bars! So I dialed my voicemail and bam! It worked!!! then to my amazement I had 5 bars!!! I though it was fixed...haha so, I made another call and talked for 8 mins. It sounded great. So I headed home watching my phone and the signal died the 30 secs after I took off!

...so I decided to take the cover off again to see if it was once again a contact issue. I manage to get the cover off faster and got in the car (I don't get service at my house very good).

Well, no luck even driving down the road with the cover off the back didn't work!

When I got home I inspected the phone and found some damage to the wire connecting the antenna.(not broken though) I'm guessing it must be enough....but how could I get 5 bars in one place!! No it wasn't under a cell tower or even close!

I'm guessing the antenna it screwed up or something, so its either try and sell it or keep it as a ipod touch.

I'm so bummed after all the work H/W unlocking it!

hi, I have the same problem of no service after successful unlock of 1.1.2 OTB, everything works fine, have imei(not 00 46XXX), iccid, etc., except the signal....

my phone is on any status of below :
1) No service when both AT&T and another non AT&T sim inserted
2) Searching...when non AT&T sim inserted
3) no signal when AT&T inserted (probably because I am in non iphone support country, and no signal appears only for a while)

I search over the forum, some say that it may be because of the mismatch of the firmware and baseband version, my phone is 1.1.2, 04.02.13_G, can anyone pls tell me if i should do the baseband downgrade?? I am noob on this....don't know what is the reason for this, do I need to do virginization??(actually i don't know under what situation should I do this...) or the probability of being short circuit is very high in this case?? coz I am really afraid to go through the horrible process of removing the cover again...

pls....anyone....help....there.....thanks
