Okay, there a couple of threads about this so I will respond with a new thread instead of in each thread.

getfile is not yet avaliable in the public release of iPhoneinterface, but you can still move buttons and make new ones.

You need the apple firmware. The easiest way to do this is to go to http://www.hacktheiphone.com/iphone_...tallation.html and download all the stuff they say to download for the ringtones and setup the phonedmg file like they say to.

Next you need to decrypt the firmware. OS X users go to http://**********.com/files/40981513/vfdecrypt.zip.html

Download and extract the file to you phonedmg folder.
(windows users try googeling vfdecrypt)

open a terminal type
cd phonedmg

vfdecrypt -i 694-5262-39.dmg -o decrypted.dmg -k 28c909fc6d322fa18940f03279d70880e59a4507998347c70d 5b8ca7ef090ecccc15e82d

you should now have a decrypted dmg that you can mount

mount it and go to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/

copy DisplayOrder.plist to your phonedmg folder

now just edit it how you like. You can replace buttons with other butons or and new ones. XCode is handy here. Just make your new entries like apple's old ones.

Now plug in the phone and exit itunes

Back to the terminal

./jailbreak
follow the instructions and wait....
./iPhoneinterface

cd /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/

putfile DisplayOrder.plist

cd /System/Library/Lockdown

putfile Services.plist

exit

Turn the phone off and then back on. Your done

Make sure you do the Services.plist part or you can't sync with itunes.

THE command above will give a -4960 error.. CORRECT one here:

remember.. Services.plist goes in /System/Library/Lockdown/ not in /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/ .. i see people messing that up..
and make sure you even have services lol

Damn it.
I was able to putfile DisplayOrder.plist
But failed to putfile Services.plist
Now I'm unable to sync with iTunes.
Any help???? PLEASE!

where did you get the Services.plist you tried to put on the iphone and did it give you an error message of some sort?

They focus on how to for OS X users, windows users I have no clue really how to do this on windows, I had to run the command with ./ but they do not include that in thier instructions

I restored the phone.

Now thigs are ok.

I followed that link, redownloaded vdecrypt (different server) and recopied the command from there AND IT WORKS! Voodoo. I don't know what's different, but I've got Heavenly... mounted. Now it's time to play.
