Default How To: iBrickr and 1.1.1

I wanted to spread the word. This is hard to find but it works and leaves you with a 1.1.1 iPhone that can be used with iBrickr

Download this Services.plist. (You know what to do with the link.) Backup the original file then upload it to /System/Library/Lockdown/. Restart your phone and check the iBrickr, it should see your phone now.

Or if you don't want to use the file I provided, you can edit your own Services.plist by adding this just right after the first <dict>, before <key>com.apple.afc</key>

Code:
<key>com.apple.afc2</key>
<dict>
	<key>Label</key>
	<string>com.apple.afc2</string>
	<key>ProgramArguments</key>
	<array>
		<string>/usr/libexec/afcd</string>
		<string>--lockdown</string>
		<string>-d</string>
		<string>/</string>
	</array>
</dict>
If you're not sure what the finished product looks like, just check the provided file.

After your iBrickr can see your phone, try to install any app with iBrickr. If your phone won't soft-reset automatically as it was in 1.0.2, add this "http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/beta" to Installer's source and install "PXL" under System catagory.

Everything should be fine now.

Does this mean we can install anysim 1.1.1 via ibrickr instead of installing all the other crap and doing the other method?

What steps did you take to upload the Services.plist to the iPhone? I would normally use iBrickr.

Also, does this mean that you can upload ringtones? Or does it just give you access to upload files?

you can download iphonebrowser and create a documents folder and put the services.plist in there. Then you can access mobile finder to copy the services.plist to the correct dir. et voilla, you will have full root access from i brickr or iphonebrowser, but i brickr is practically usless on 1.1.1 except as a file viewer/uploader/downloader. so i stuck with iphonebrowser

I installed the PXL app because when I tried to install an app from iBrickr, my phone didn't soft-reset automatically because the pxl daemon was not running. (In 1.0.2, the iBrickr will install this for you the first time you try to install an app.
