There's no problem I know of with my iPhone or computer - they both work happily for long periods connecting to APs, so does anyone know what I can possibly do about this problem? It's making testing pretty hard! :p

Haven't used it on an XP box but I have used it extensively on my Vista laptop. Was on a business trip at a hotel with wired, but not wireless, Net access. Just setup an ad-hoc network on the laptop to use with my iPhone, for the days I was there.
Aside from Vista's crappy habit of making ad-hoc networks go bye-bye after the last client disconnects, I was able to use it for hours at a time without getting disconnected, or any other issue. I just had to set up the ad-hoc network again each day.
Oh yea, could not get WPA to work, but WEP functions. As usual with ICS, the host PC acts as DHCP and router. And as expected, my iPhone received a 192.168.0.x address, with 192.168.0.1 for DNS/gateway IP.
