Hey ya, I was wondering if anyone was brave enough to try Kate 3.0 on their 3GS? I really only need the lock screen calendar as it shows contact birthdays. Thanks!

I installed it, everything works ok EXCEPT!!! the phone app crashes and won't open. you can receive calls but can't hang up or make calls. I didn't try the contacts app. I uninstalled and everything back to normal. Tried install again and same thing.... I uninstalled, then installed ICY and tried installing KATE from ICY... Same thing... Uninstalled each peice one by one from ICY, then unistalled ICY using Cydia... after this reboot, Everything Works (phone wise) and the Calendar is still THERE!!!! so that's a plus, bad thing is no other component is still installed so you can't change anything... I had played with the settings and turn off backgrounds. So i have a calendar with a black background now. preferences and mobile enhancer are no longer installed... so you can try these steps and you may keep the calendar like me. This may have been a fluke (but a nice one for me since i only use calendar). Good luck and hope this helps!

I have installed it, safari stop work

Now I have disinstalled it and safari work.

It's not compatible.

There has been two or three updates to Kate and it's components since my last post. I re-installed it and my mail app wouldn't open, so i re-booted and now everything works. Don't use the SYSTEM FONTS... disable them. they conflict with winterboard. if you want SYSTEM FONTS.. then uninstall winterboard. everything else should work!

Yeah Kate is still giving me some trouble, why cant Lock Calendar support contacts birthdays

You guys should try IntelliScreen, I own both and it is LOADS better (bought Kate before IntelliScreen existed, tried the trial, bought it). It's caused some springboard crashes once or twice, but it is actively updated and I haven't had a single problem since the latest update.

Edit: I see you guys are using it to display birthdays. I don't know if it can do that but I use a Facebook application called FBCal for displaying birthdays via IntelliScreen.

Watchout!!! the new dejarip kills the 3Gs. not sure about other phones but i updated my dejarip to the new version (it might only be in beta apt). but either way my sms's or phone, or anything else wouldn't come up after updated so i decided to reboot my phone... well it wouldn't go back the boot logo. I could still get into the phone via diskaid and i removed kate... and it booted up... but when trying to reinstall kate using old dejarip... something happened with cydia and kate (i guess since i just physically removed the files since i couldn't uninstall via cydia... then my phone wouldn't boot back up no matter what i did... so i finally just DFU restore and all works again with dejarip 3.1.2

Short story> Avoid dejarip 3.2 like the plaque (atleast for now).
