Hi everyone,

Sorry apple didn't think anyone but the Japanese would want emoji but I for one was very dissapointed. So luckily help was quickly at hand for those with jailbroken phones with cydia.

Just open cydia, search for emoji and install the app.
It's not really an app, just a change to an settings file that enables the emoji switch.

The switch to turn it on will now be in keyboards>international>Japanese
Just switch emoji to on and enjoy the charcters under the globe symbol in the keyboard.

It will work in SMS,email and notes. And Internet.
But,
Big but.
Only another iPhone with 2.2 and emoji enabled can show the characters in the messages, or phones with emoji on softbank jp network.

Email emoji and txt emoji will not display in windows or mac. This may change with a language pack soon.

For now enjoy.

Shame... the fact it only works with other iPhone users make it less attractive to me.
