How to install Cydia and uninstall Installer

Can anyone tell me how can I install latest version of the Cydia in my 2.1 2G unlocked and jailbreaked iPhone and remove the Installer?

Install "MobileFinder" from Cydia
Select the apple logo button in the right corner
Select the applications tab
Find installer.app and select it
Press file-Delete then reset your springboard

Sorry, I thought you'd have it on the iPhone. Did you use Quickpwn to jailbreak, wasn't Cydia installed during the process?

Thanks for the instructions.

I followed them, deleted the installer.app, but the installer icon is still there. Do you know why? Thanks.

Did you reboot the iPhone, the springboard needs to be restartet. I'd try holding start/sleep and Home until the Apple logo shows up, release buttons then.
If the icon is still there, try Mobile finder again or just use SFTP to delete the app/icon.
I never had any problems, was working perfect for me...

I never had any problems, was working perfect for me...

Nevermind, instead of restarting the phone, I installed another app from Cydia (MakeItMine) and the app replaced the installer icon.
