hi, is there a way to disable the buttons on 221?
There are working fine, which is exactly the problem, when I put the phone in my pocket, the volume goes often down by accident, which makes me miss calls all the time.
I don't see why the are there in the first place, this could be touch only, hey what happened to the minimalistic design concept of Apple?, kill those buttons!
a SBswitch/slider would be great ideally, any suggestions bender? thnx in advance!!

Smile For 2.x and higher Auto Silent is fix

OK, so I have 3.0 and how I was searching for solution from months. Finally, my collegue told me about Auto Silent app. It could bypass silent switch, restore all sounds. Next moment I went on Cydia, searched Auto Silent and worked like charm. I have all my sounds back. ho ho....They should name it "Silent switch bypass"....oh it can silent iphone automatically..that might be the reason.

If SpringBoard.app SHA1 signature is modified on 2.0, it won't load.

The trick for 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 resides in the modification of SpringBoard binary located here:

- Copy it in your computer
- Rename the original one in the phone to SpringBoard.bak
- Get a Hex Editor (i use 0xED)
- Set it in Overwrite Mode
- Search for the String "volumeChanged:" and replace the v by any letter and save.

Then send this modified SpringBoard binary back to the phone.
Use SSH to preserve the Permissions/Ownership to 755 root:wheel.

Restart your phone and voila !

I'll try to work on a 2.0 version this week.

Default Use Auto Silent app it will bypass silent switch

Auto Silent app will bypass silent switch and restore all your sounds. They claim it works on all iPhone generations and all firmware higher than 2.2. I tried on 3.0 and it worked like charm.

Spammer?

Anyway, that app is for silent switch, and this thread is about the volume buttons...
