Same here, i installed OpenSSH, a bunch of updates, and MobileTerminal. Right when i hit the home button the Phone froze and became unresponsive. Then i hard reset it, but this time it hanged a lot longer at the Pineapple logo. So just like the last time this happened on 1.1.4 i plugged it into my computer hoping iTunes would see it so i could create a backup. iTunes did and started to sync when the phone booted perfectly. And after it booted i tried MobileTerminal and OpenSSH and both worked perfectly.
I even uploaded my own ringtones :hack:

How come OpenSSH and Mobile Terminal appears on your list in Cydia? I don't see them.

Any knows why?

Smile [Compatibility] Which apps work with iphone 2.0?

So im really thinking about upgrading to 2.0, but i wouldnt want to loose some of my favorite apps

So i thought i would start this thread in a vain hope that someone could tell me if the folowing apps work, perhaps it could turn into a form when people post which of thier favourite apps work with 2.0 firmware,

So the apps im curious about are:

summarboard
poof
video wallpaper
launcher
islsk
fring
orblive
ringtones

well thats all i can think of, and confimations would be welcomed, and if a simular thread has been posted could leave a link before you delete the post.

Thanks in advance

The only compatible 3rd party Community Apps are the one available on Cydia.

The list will improve with the release of Installer v4.0

Well, I have tested some applications and none worked, the applications are:

Fring: The program starts, it shows the fring logo then it shows the springboard again.
iPhoneVideoRecorder: Same as fring.
Chess: Same as fring :'(
Terminal vt-100 ver 296: Same as fring.
Installer: Same as fring.

Then I got tired testing programs.

Now there are 2 different folders for applications, the first one you certainly should know is the /Applications/ folder, the new one is located at /var/mobile/Applications/ where I presume is used by the appStore to put applications that you download or buy. If you try (just as me) to upload homebrew applications to the /var/mobile/Applications/ it shows a white icon but still don't work. I hope someone find a turnaround for this issue.

Don't forget to fake codesign your apps binaries before launching them.
Otherwise they'll get killed by the Kernel once launched.
