The part below is only if you have moved your Applications folder to private/var/root/
(if you have put it in mobile it will never work and you'll always get the warning about the root:wheel and the "Package download failed" error, so you must absolutely move it to root and change its symlink to target the new path)

I've also checked if I have moved the Applicationd folder (which I know that I dodn't). And I didn't

Looks like your AppTapp.framework and its contents should be root:admin instead of root:wheel

Please check the other permissions i added in my previous post.

Damn. I've changed the owner for apptapp.framework etc. and ckecked that all ownerships and permissions are exactly the same as yours. but it didn't work. I've also run your commands from the first page but still no success. again the temp and caches/Installer folders are in /var/root...

I can't explain why.

I think the best is when I set up my iPhone again from a fresh 1.1.4 later.

Thans a lot for your Help. I've learned a lot about ssh and Terminal through the iPhone and Hackint0sh. Thanks for that.

It is normal, when you run the commands, it will create the files in root.
These files are useless after you quit SSH.

Then, you start Installer from its icon and refresh the sources.

You should now have the same files but in mobile.

When it is working Installer uses the mobile folder as default.

So is anybody able to post the CMDs to make installer work properly? I mean... it's fine that it tells me that it needs to get run as root, but i forgott the CMD to set the permissions... wasnt it something with "chown -R " ?

Help would be appreciated
